Bagpipes blamed for life's ills

Pipe Major Thomas De Ridder of Bergen Pipes and Drums was interviewed in Bergens Tidende about the hazards of playing the bagpipes.

Pipe Major Thomas De Ridder was featured in an article by Bergens Tidende (BT) following a report by the National Piping Centre in Glasgow, Scotland that there were certain hazards link to playing the bagpipes.

Amongst issues brought in the report up were hearing problems, asthma, heavy drink and a higher rate of divorce.

A BT journalist attended one of Bergen Pipes and Drums practices hear a pipe band at work, and to find out for herself what all the fuss was about.
